1.What we collect from merchants

When you create an account or a store on Nouq we collect:

• Your name and email address, and your phone number if you add it.
• If you sign in with Google: only your name and verified email address. We get no access to your Gmail or your Google files.
• Your store's data: its name, address, products, images, settings and orders.
• Technical data that keeps your account safe: device and browser type, IP address and sign-in times.

2.Store customers' data

When a customer orders from a store on Nouq we keep what's needed to fulfil the order: name, phone number, email if given, delivery address and order details.

This data belongs to the merchant who owns the store, who is responsible for how it's used. Nouq stores and processes it on the merchant's behalf to run the store. We don't use it for our own marketing and we never sell it.

3.How we use data

• To run your account and store and fulfil orders.
• To send sign-in codes and notices about your account and orders.
• To protect the platform from fraud and abuse.
• To improve Nouq and fix problems.
• To meet legal duties, such as issuing tax invoices.

4.Who we share data with

We don't sell your data. We share it only with service providers that help us run Nouq, and only as much as they need:

• Hosting and storage providers.
• Our email delivery provider.
• Payment providers, when you pay Nouq. They process your card details, which we don't store.
• Google, when you sign in with Google or connect an app that uses Google Sheets.
• Meta, when you connect an Instagram account to receive messages.
• Our AI provider, when you use the AI assistant in the dashboard.
• The delivery companies a merchant chooses to ship orders.
• Apps a merchant installs from the app store, within the permissions the merchant approves.

5.Instagram messages

If a merchant connects their store's Instagram professional account to Messages in Nouq, we receive from Meta: the account's name, username and profile picture, the messages and attachments customers send to that account, and the merchant's replies. We use them only to show the conversations in the dashboard, send the merchant's replies, and link a conversation to the customer's orders in the store.

When the merchant presses “Suggest a reply”, we send the conversation's text to our AI provider to draft a suggestion the merchant reviews before sending; nothing is sent automatically. We don't use Instagram messages for advertising, never sell them, and never share them with other stores.

The merchant can disconnect the account in Messages settings at any time. Anyone can remove Nouq's access in Instagram's settings (Apps and websites), or ask for their data to be deleted there or by emailing us at the address below: we then delete the conversations, messages and access token we hold for that account, and give a confirmation code and a link to check it.

6.Cookies

We only use essential cookies: to keep you signed in, keep your cart, and remember your country and language. We don't use advertising cookies that track you across sites.

7.Keeping and protecting data

We keep data while the account or store exists, then for as long as the law requires (such as invoice records). Connections to Nouq are encrypted, each store's data is isolated from every other store's, and passwords are stored hashed so they can't be read.

8.Your rights

You can see, correct, get a copy of, or ask us to delete your data. You can change most of it in the dashboard and export your products and orders. For anything else, email us at the address below.

If you're a store's customer, contact the merchant first. You can also email us and we'll pass your request on.

9.Children

Nouq is for adults. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 to create accounts.

10.Changes and contact

We may update this policy. Any change is published here with its date, and we email merchants about important ones.
